The Nanaimo LABOUR MARKET AREA includes the municipalities of Nanaimo and Lantzville (which is newly incorporated since the 2001 Statistics Canada Census), the rural Electoral Areas A, C and D of the Nanaimo Regional District, and several Indian Reserves. It is equivalent to Statistics Canada's Nanaimo Census Agglomeration. As of the 2006 Census, this area now includes the District of Lantzville.
